Beltane is one of the most beloved Celtic festivals of the Wheel of the Year: the pagan May Day that opens the season of full flowering, all the way to the Summer Solstice.
It is the moment when Nature explodes in its fullest splendour — and when we too emerge in all our energy, opening space to the realisation of our dreams and desires.
In the women's circle of the Milan Goddess Temple, as in the spiritual tradition of Avalon, Beltane is celebrated honouring Goddess Rhiannon in her power of passion and love, and the energies of the hieros gamos — the sacred union between God and Goddess, between masculine and feminine energy.
