Private Glastonbury Pilgrimage with a Priestess of Avalon
Private Pilgrimages • Individuals & Small Groups • In English
From half a day to three days among the Glastonbury Tor, the sacred springs and the ruins of the Abbey, in the company of a Priestess of Avalon trained at the Glastonbury Goddess Temple
There are places you visit.
And there are places you return to.
I travel to Glastonbury throughout the year, and I would be glad to walk it with you.
A private pilgrimage to Glastonbury is time given to the Tor, the red and white springs, the Abbey and the quiet lanes of Avalon, shaped around you and what brings you here.
I am a Priestess of Avalon, trained at the Glastonbury Goddess Temple, and I weave each day with meditation, ritual and stories told on the land where they began.
Perhaps Avalon is already calling you
Perhaps you read The Mists of Avalon years ago and the name has stayed with you. Perhaps you have followed the Wheel of the Year from afar and feel that it is time to stand on the sacred hills yourself. Perhaps a dream, a coincidence or a photograph of the Tor rising from the mist has been calling you for a while.
Some people come to Glastonbury out of curiosity. Others feel a bond with the place before they have even set foot in it. This pilgrimage is for you if you belong to the second group, or if you hope to.
You need no particular preparation. Wanting to be here is enough.
You will return home with a spark of Avalon: the water that touched your hands, the warmth of a circle held in the open air, a new way of feeling the turning of the seasons.
What we can do together
Each pilgrimage to Glastonbury Avalon is shaped around you. Together we choose among places and practices such as:
- The Glastonbury Tor, the sacred hill crowned by St Michael's Tower, climbed at a pilgrim's pace, with practices to feel its energies
- The Chalice Well Gardens and the White Spring, the red and white waters of Avalon, for silence, ritual and contemplation
- Glastonbury Abbey and St Mary's Chapel, where the traditions of Joseph of Arimathea, the Grail and Mary Magdalene live on
- The Glastonbury Goddess Temple, the heart of the Priestess of Avalon tradition in which I trained
- Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill as an added day out, with a trusted local driver I can recommend
- Meditation, ritual and storytelling, held at the places themselves
For a closer look at each place, read my guide to the Glastonbury sacred sites.

How it works
Write to me with the dates of your visit, the number of people travelling with you and what you would like to experience in Glastonbury Avalon.
I will let you know whether I am in Glastonbury at that time, and together we will shape your pilgrimage: the places, the pace, the practices that call to you.
When it feels right, you reserve your date with a deposit, and the rest unfolds on the land.
Pilgrimages are offered during my stays in Glastonbury, by booking and subject to my confirmation. The earlier you write, the more likely it is that our dates overlap.
Your guide
Welcome!
I am Anna, Priestess of Avalon and of the Goddess. I trained for three years at the Glastonbury Goddess Temple, where I serve as a celebrant Priestess and Melissa, and I founded the Milan International Goddess Temple in the same tradition.
Glastonbury has become a spiritual home. Each time I return, I feel the air change before I even see the Tor. I come to Avalon to live it with you, through meditation, ritual, circle and moments of listening. My PhD in Old Norse and the years I have spent with the history and myths of ancient Europe enrich the stories we hear on the land.
I will be beside you throughout the pilgrimage: to answer your questions, to listen, or simply to share the silence. Every path is welcome. You arrive with your own, and the pilgrimage makes room for it.
See you in Avalon,
Anna
Frequently Asked Questions
The fee depends on the length of your pilgrimage, from half a day to three days, and on the number of people. Write to me with your dates and I will send you the details together with my availability.
Contact me as soon as you have rough dates. My stays in Glastonbury fall at different times of the year, and the earlier we compare dates, the better the chance of an overlap.
Travel and accommodation are for you to arrange, and I am happy to suggest the best areas of Glastonbury to stay in.
Yes. A pilgrimage can be shaped for one person, a couple or a small group of friends.
All paths are welcome. An interest in the Goddess or Celtic tradition enriches the experience, and curiosity is all you need to begin.
The pilgrimage is shaped around you and moves at your pace, with time to pause and breathe. The Tor path rises gently in places and the route can always be adapted. Tell me about your needs when you write, and I will plan a day that feels comfortable.
Rain is part of the magic of Avalon, and the mists it brings is part of its beauty. With a waterproof jacket and comfortable shoes, you will be ready for any weather, and we adapt the order of the day to the sky.
Avalon is waiting
Some calls arrive softly, like a bell heard through the mists.
If that call has reached you, write to me with your dates, and we will find the day when the Isle of Apples is ready to welcome you.
